Students in this lab will familiar with breadboard because breadboard is fundamental device in electronic lab in order to connect elements to each other.

A digital multi meter (DMM) as an ohmmeter used in order to check the connection between different holes in breadboard.
All of holes in negative line or blue line are connected together (short-circuit). Also all of holes in positive line or red line are connected together (Fig 1). Besides, all of holes in every column are connected together, and there are not connection between columns (open-circuit) (fig 2).
